Full course description
This curriculum was designed to prepare individuals to become certified as Home Health Aides. The course takes an adult learner-centered approach to training, complete with interactive learning activities that engage students in a variety of ways. Trainers use strategies to meet the learning goals of trainees with a variety of learning styles, experiences, and skills.
Many Home Health Aides provide a wide range of services, such as wound care, sickness management, medical equipment, therapy, medical social services, and patient education. In addition to providing services, nurses consult with doctors on the patient's condition and provide feedback on any prospective changes to the care plan. Home health nurses are in charge of promoting health and wellness.
